The Fiji Islands Literacy and Numeracy Assessment or FILNA results are out.

A total of 22,555 students of class 4, 6 and 8 sat for the FILNA exams in July at 437 schools this year.

The Education Minister Filipe Bole said the figure is slightly less than last year as 25,205 appeared for the exams then.

Bole said headteachers can collect their results from their District Education Offices today or expect to receive their results through mail in the next few days.

He said these results are not given as marks like the Fiji Intermediate Examination (FIE) or Fiji Eight Year Examination (FEYE) but the child's achievement is shown on an Individual Student Report.
