FIFA has asked a German magazine to hand over all the documents it said it has regarding the claims of convicted match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal that Cameroon players threw away their World Cup group games.
FIFA has refused to make any comment regarding the allegations that some Cameroon players fixed the results of their three Group A matches, which all ended in defeat, nor would it confirm or deny it was investigating the claims.
Cameroon lost to Mexico 1-0, then got thumped by Croatia 4-0 and in the last match Cameroon got hammered by Brazil 4-1.
Meanwhile, Brazilian striker Neymar Junior has insisted that he is happy for Brazil to win ugly as long as it gets them past Colombia in the football World Cup quarterfinal.
Brazil has rarely sparkled at these finals but they remain in contention to win the title after last weekend’s victory on penalties against Chile in the last 16.
Neymar said they are there to run to the end, until they are tired, and come out as winners.
The FIFA World Cup quarter finals kick off this Saturday with France to play Germany at 4am, Brazil will take on Colombia at 8am while Belgium will meet Argentina at 4am this Sunday.
