The Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions said the interim government should not go ahead doing the restructure of Government Supplies and Public Works Department as it does not have the mandate of the people.
General Secretary Attar Singh said they are now deciding on their next step as their members will loose jobs after their restructure.
Singh said the interim government has not acted fairly in this situation as it did not consult the unions nor it take peoples' recommendations on the issue.
Meanwhile, PSC Chairman Rishi Ram said he has not received anything official from the Interim Public Service Minister Poseci Bune to implement this restructure.
Ram adds the restructure is a very lengthy process and they will consult the unions before any decision is made. Ram also said a decision will also be made on the redundancy packages.
It was revealed last week that 170 people will lose their jobs through the restructure of the Government Supplies Department in Suva and Public Works Department.
