The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is now trying to get an extradition order from New Zealand to get former Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive, Alice Tabete back home.

FICAC spokesperson, Maraia Vavaitamana told Village News this morning that the investigation against Tabete is ongoing and FICAC is deciding on its next step.

When questioned on how soon Tabete will be brought to Fiji to answer to the allegations, Vavaitamana said that they do not want to say anything else on the issue.

Tabete is under investigation in relation to alleged abuse of office and alleged abuse of funds.

She went to NZ to attend the World Netball Championship as Fiji Netball President in November and did not return after the event.
