Two more senior officials at the Commissioner Northern office have been suspended and are now being investigated by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.

The two were suspended early this week after allegations of official corruption. It is alleged that the two were involved in the alleged misuse of cash grants that were to be given to the flood victims.

One of them is a District Officer while the other is a senior Secretary at the Commissioner Northern office.

The two are expected to be questioned by FICAC soon.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Northern, Misieli Naivalu was suspended three months ago is yet to be questioned by police.

Naivalu told Village News this morning that so far nothing has come up and he is still awaiting the allegations against him to be cleared.
