FICAC takes Official Receiver into custody

FICAC is still questioning the Official Receiver from the Ministry of Justice, Viliame Katia.

Katia was taken into custody last night.

FICAC says he is being questioned for allegedly misappropriating a large amount of money from the Official Receiver's Trust Account.

This alleged fraud has been committed over a period of 4 years by creating false documents.

FICAC confirms that it commenced investigations after a complaint made by the Solicitor General, Sharvada Sharma.
