The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption has refused to reveal whether they will be launching an investigation into Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase's recent outbursts in Australia.
Spokesperson Charlotte Peters said FICAC does not want to make a comment at this stage adding they will reveal more when the time is right.
Meanwhile the Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum had earlier stated that the state is not responsible for taking any action against Qarase adding FICAC will be responsible if any action is to be taken.
However Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase said he has done nothing wrong and it would be a worry if he is questioned or penalized from further overseas travel based on his statements in Australia.
