FICAC investigator takes stand in Tuisolia case
Abdul Raheem was shown the cost center records from AFL and upon questioning by defence counsel Devinesh Sharma, Raheem agreed that the document did not have a AFL letter head and was not certified by AFL and was not indexed by FICAC as was the procedure.
It was also established that the cost center reports showing all of AFL's transaction payments were computer generated and Sharma alleged that Raheem only came to know of this document after allegedly threatening the Financial Accountant and Chief Accountant of AFL.
Raheem also agreed that the data entry clerk responsible to enter the details of transactions for the cost center records could have made mistakes.
Sharma questioned Raheem that the basis of the allegations against Tuisolia was that Raheem was of the opinion that there was a mistake in the cost center report in the way the details were allocated for January, March and April in 2006.
Raheem replied that it was his opinion but upon further questioning he revealed that he made no attempt to verify if there was a mistake and he did not interview those responsible to enter the data.
It was also highlighted by Sharma that the cost center report did not have a category for credit card payments and how payments were made for credit card usage and other expenses as these were generalized in the data entry process.
The case continues tomorrow morning.
