The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is now actively looking into the financial status of some of the civil servants who are alleged to have been involved in corruption.
FICAC's Manager Investigations, Sanaila Seru has confirmed that some civil servants have substantial amounts of cash in their bank accounts and have properties worth thousands of dollars even though their salary is not enough to live such a lifestyle.
According to Seru, they have identified some people and are investigating them.
