The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is now assessing the files and documents that were obtained from the Land Transport Authority as part of their investigations.

FICAC has confirmed that based on the findings a decision will be made whether any charges will be laid against the former Chief Executive Officer of the Land Transport Authority who was terminated a few days ago.

Korovulavula said Simpson was terminated after allegations of abuse of office, abuse of funds, allegations of physical assault of a bus company owner at the LTA office in Valelevu, allegations of nepotism and alleged breach of trust.

When questioned this morning, FICAC Deputy Commissioner, LT Colonel George Langman said that he is busy and cannot comment on the investigations.
