There will be no changes to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
This what the Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Saiyad-Khaiyum said in response to the call by Suva lawyer Rajendra Chaudhry for FICAC to be re-examined. Chaudhry said this is needed as some investigators and lawyers were not performing duties as expected of them.
The Interim AG said the establishment of institutions like FICAC would not always have smooth sailing.
Menawhile, FICAC spokesperson Maraiah Vavaitamana said FICAC will not comment as they have other issues to look at.
