The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption will continue with its operations.
These are the sentiments of FICAC Deputy Commissioner George Langman in a press conference this afternoon, in light of today's decision by High Court Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem in FICAC's case against Commissioner Central Inoke Devo, that FICAC should refer those cases which it wishes to have prosecuted in the High Court to the DPP.
The Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum also added the DPP and FICAC have already communicated in respect of today's ruling and will work together.
Judge Shameem also ruled today that until the validity of the promulgation is determined through the case filed by ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase against the interim Prime Minister and others FICAC will have to file cases in the High Court through the DPP.
