The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) carried out a raid on the Nasinu Town Council last Friday to look for some documents.
Nasinu Mayor Rajeshwar Kumar had confirmed that during the raid detectives from FICAC were looking for council meeting minutes, resolutions and payment vouchers.
According to Kumar, officers from FICAC told him that there are allegations of corruption against some people and they are investigating the matter.
Kumar confirmed they are liaising with their solicitors to decide their next step.
