The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption has started its investigations against allegations leveled at the former board members of Post Fiji Limited.

Chief FICAC investigator ASP Marika Taufa told Village News this morning that a complaint has been received and investigations have begun into allegations of alleged abuse of office and some other allegations.

ASP Taufa said that they will have to gather evidence and then some of the former board members and employees will be questioned in relation to the allegations which are believed to have occurred when Peni Mau was the Managing Director of Post Fiji.

When contacted this afternoon, Mau said that he is unaware of the investigations and cannot comment on the issue. Mau said he will only comment when he is formally informed of the investigations being carried out.

Post Fiji Board Chairman at that time, Mahendra Patel when contacted by Village News this afternoon said he is yet to receive any report and will not comment at this stage.
