The Fiji Football league board has started to concentrate on youth league matches around the country with prominence now given to the Under 16 and 19 grades.

League Board Secretary, Jainendra Sukhu said the players competing in these two grades are earmarked to represent the country in Under 20 and 17 grades.

Looking at this week’s youth league matches, Tailevu North U-16 plays Tailevu Naitasiri U-16 while Tailevu Naitasiri U-19 plays against Tailevu North Under-19 at QVS school grounds this Saturday.

At Penang Sangam school grounds, Rakiraki U-16 plays Tavua U-16 and Rakiraki U-19 takes on Tavua U-19.

On Sunday, Nadroga U-16 plays Ba U-16 and Nadroga U-19 Plays Ba U-19 at Lawaqa park on Sunday.

Similar Under 16 and 19 matches will be played between Navua and Nasinu at Thompson Park on Sunday.
