The Fiji Football Association has made it clear that it is the responsibility of the district associations to see that overseas players brought to play in Fiji, submit proper registration papers.

Fiji FA President, Dr Samsu Dean Sahu Khan's comments come after four protests were received during the pool matches of the Courts IDC last week.

Sahu Khan said Fiji FA does not have time to go through every players history and check if they have provided the right clearance required to play in Fiji.

Sahu Khan adds it's a good lesson for district association officials to keep in mind that submitting wrong information about players and fielding ineligible players can make them lose out on points in major soccer tournaments.

Meanwhile, the first semi-final of the Courts IDC will kick off at 9am this Sunday between Navua and Lautoka while the second semi-final is at 10.30am between Rewa and Labasa.

Commentaries of all the matches and the final of the Premier and Super Premier division can be heard on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
