The severe flooding that was experienced in the western division a couple of weeks ago has forced the Fiji Football Association to withdraw as hosts of the upcoming Oceania Under 17 men's World Cup football qualifiers.

When contacted by Fijivillage, Fiji Football Association President Dr Samshu Dean Sahu Khan said they have taken action as most of the players are affected and the venue badly damaged.

Meanwhile, Sahu Khan added they have suggested New Zealand become replacement hosts as floods have forced them out of playing in the tournament.

Fiji was scheduled to host the qualifiers in April in Ba but the western side of the island has been severely affected by the floods.
