The Fiji Football Association has banned 8 Olympic national soccer players for five years from the national team with the players fined heavily for breaking camp on Saturday.

Ba defender Jone Vesikula and Labasa defender Apisalome Turuva have both been fined $18,000 each, while Lautoka defender Samuela Kautoga and his team mate Taniela Waqa Junior, have been fined $12,000 each.

The rest of the four players, Ba goalkeeper Jone Saralo, Labasa striker Noa Seru, Navua midfielder Ben Kumar and Lautoka defender Seremaia Nadisitu have been fined $10,000 each.

Meanwhile, Rewa soccer striker Posiano Kalisito's case is still being reviewed and disciplinary action is likely to be revealed later for also breaking camp.

These players will not be allowed to appeal because they left the camp without informing any of the officials, but will be allowed to play at club and district levels once they pay their fines.
