The Employment Minister Filipe Bole said the Fiji Employers Federation (FEF) will need to consult him first if any discussion on the new wages rate has to take place.
Bole's comments come after Fiji Employers Federation President Dixon Seeto stated they are seeking further talks with the government as it maintains that a further review of the new wage regulation is warranted.
The new wage order came into effect on July 1st after the initial implementation date was deferred in February.
Chairman of the Wages Council Father Kevin Barr is expected to comment later today.
