The Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA) has come under the spotlight during the Prime Minister's visit to farmers in the Olosara and Kavanagasau areas in Sigatoka yesterday.

Around 50 farmers in the area told Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama that they have paid their one third contributions for rural electrification and the FEA has already surveyed the area however they still do not have power in their homes.

Bainimarama was quick to respond to the concerns raised by the farmers, when he told Commissioner Western Joeli Cawaki to call FEA headquarters and find out reasons for the delay so that he could inform the farmers.

Bainimarama after talking with Cawaki then told the farmers that government officials will visit them again in the near future where he expects some work to be done by FEA.
