The FEA is trying to find out the cause of the power blackout in most parts of Viti Levu early this morning.
FEA officials say they are investigating the cause of a technical fault in a high voltage line between Vatukoula and Rarawai around 4am.
It caused a power blackout in the whole of the Central Division and half of the Western Division however power supply was normalized in 5 minutes. FEA said some parts of Rakiraki are still without electricity and FEA engineers are on their way to fix the problem.
It is believed the power blackout was caused by a lightening surge.
