Please be mindful of fallen power lines and treat every power line as live.

As a result of the damages due to Cyclone Mick, power supply to most areas in Viti Levu has been shut down.

The Fiji Electricity Authority revealed that for the whole of the Western Division from Rakirki to Sigatoka and most areas in the Central Division, power has been shut down.

The Authority revealed that the Wailoa Hydro Power Station has been shut down due to the rising water level in the Wailoa River.

Due to the strong gale force winds, power lines have fallen down and the Authority is asking members of the public to refrain from touching them and to treat them as live wires.

All repair work is set to start once the Cyclone has passed.
