The Fiji Electricity Authority has raised concern that a truck has been going around asking villagers to provide them with copper from the power cables.
Acting CEO, Sunil De Silva said this is a matter of serious concern and they have informed police about it.
Meanwhile, De Silva said power in the Domain area in Suva, Navua, Vunidawa, Rakiraki and some other parts in the western division is expected to be restored today.
He said fallen trees, bad road conditions, missing cables and heavy rain is making it difficult for the technicians in fixing the power lines in these areas.
