The Fiji Electricity Authority which has recently raised concerns about its Monasavu Dam levels said people should be more understanding towards their call for the need to conserve energy.

Acting CEO Eparama Tawake said people may see the recent rainy period as a sign that the Monasavu Dam would have replenished its levels.

However Tawake said the only time when the Monasavu Dam was ever at a level considered to be sufficiently adequate at 745meters, was unfortunately during a time of natural disasters.
