All great things are once small, like an infant that grows into an adult, with proper care, attention, encouragement and resources and so can small businesses into a chain and later a medium enterprise.
Those were the words of Member of the Fiji Development Bank Board of Directors Josefa Serulagilagi while launching the FDB's Small Business Awards in Suva this morning.
Serulagilagi stressed that such awards play an important part in recognizing the input of small businesses to the economy.
Serulagilagi also highlighted the trickledown effect from small businesses.
The Small Business Award, with the theme, Start Small, Think Big will have six separate categories, including agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, Whole Sale and Retail, and the Open category.
