The Fiji Council of Social Services is hopeful that the interim government approves its proposal to have a pension scheme for the senior citizens of the country due to rising prices of goods and services.
Chief Executive Hassan Khan said the list of priorities was given in August this year for consideration and their ideas would help people who are facing hard times.
Khan added one of their suggestions is that the authorities keep to their responsibility of providing welfare rights and basic social services to the people.
