The Fiji Council of Social Services will be concentrating on the impact of social changes on people as their 2008 National Conference on Social Development gets underway today at Waterfront Hotel.
Executive Director Hassan Khan said they hope to find ways on how to meet social responsibilities, setting out guidelines for policy development and promoting the concept of social responsibility as the key to poverty reduction, peace and reconciliation.
Khan added that Fiji has experienced many changes over the years which had its impact on areas such as politics, economy, health and welfare.
The conference held at Lovu Sangam School and the Waterfront hotel ends on Sunday.
