The chairman of the public radio broadcaster Fiji Broadcasting Corporation said it is sad and unfortunate that the NZ High Commission rejected his visa to travel to NZ to sign a major technical upgrade deal for the state owned station.
Yaminiasi Gaunavou revealed that the management team of FBC went to NZ without him and they could not sign the agreement with the NZ company there due to his non presence.
Gaunavou said he approached the NZ High Commission after the rejection of the visa but they did not change their mind.
Fijivillage has been informed that public broadcasters have secured the funding of the multi-million dollar technical upgrade and the deal with the NZ company has been confirmed.
