FASANOC has cleared the air that the International Olympic Committee has special invitation for the President and the General Secretary of FASANOC to be present at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
When questioned on whether FASANOC was paying for the General Secretary Atma Maharaj and his wife's expenses, FASANOC President Vidya Lakhan stressed that their Bills were being paid by the International Olympic Committee, as an incentive of the position Maharaj held.
Lakhan said the IOC gives Funds to the Association for the overall administration of all sporting Organizations.
Lakhan added that as their policy, the Team Participation Budget is shared three ways and National Federations have to pay their allocation.
Paul Yee and Della Shaw were the two section managers who were dropped from travelling to the Beijing Olympics.
Yee was supposed to look after Makelesi Bulikiobo while Shaw to be in charge of weight-lifter Joe Vueti.
