Journalists have been asked to continue striving for excellence even though the Fiji Media Awards for Excellence will not be held this year.
Fiji Media Council chairman Daryl Tarte said FAME has been cancelled due to financial sponsor constraints as a result of difficult times faced.
Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this is the decision made only by the Council and no one else.
