It has been revealed that hundreds of people who suffer from Diabetes lose their eyesight and have kidney failure at an early age.
This has been confirmed by the Chairman of the Fiji National Diabetes Foundation, Dr Wahid Khan today as we celebrate the World Diabetes Day.
According to Khan people should consult their doctors frequently if they suffer from diabetes before it’s too late.
He said that parents should also monitor their children from an early age and to make it a habit for their children to exercise regularly. He said if children start doing physical exercise at an early age, they will have less chances of suffering from diabetes in future.
The World Diabetes Day will be launched at 6.30 this afternoon.
