People who have sight problems in Labasa can look forward to a brighter future, thanks to a group of eye doctors from New Zealand who will be providing free checks as well as operations.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Lions Club and Sightfirst President Mohammed Yakub said the team of seven doctors will be at Labasa Hospital this morning to conduct tests on people who have sight problems.
Yakub added that as well as conducting free tests they will be giving out free glasses.
The team will be visiting Wainikoro and Seaqaqa in the next nine days and they're expecting to examine more than 15,000 people, as well as conducting close to 60-100 operations.
