Tourism Fiji believes that Fiji can now compete with some of the more favored Asian destinations which are reknowned for their shopping experience with the extension of the retail, commercial and liquor trading hours from yesterday.
Chairman Patrick Wong said the decision will benefit the nation as a whole.
Wong adds that in future, Tourism Fiji may have to incorporate the extended retail, commercial and liquor trading hours in their campaigns to entice tourists to come to Fiji and have a real shopping experience added to the sandy beaches and friendly people for which Fiji is known for.
