The 2010 TFL Prime Minister's Exporter of the Year Awards will be officially launched by the Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau in Labasa today for the first time.
In a statement, FTIB Executive Chairman Adrian Sofield said that FTIB has decided this year to look north and engage more of the Northern exporters in the Awards as the traditional venues for the launches have always been Suva and Lautoka.
Sofield said that they recognise the potential in the north as major supplier of commodities such as Dalo, yaqona and sugar cane that have a huge demand on the international market.
Commissioner Northern Division, Colonel Inia Seruratu will officiate at the Labasa Launch to be held at Grand Eastern Hotel.
