The Agricultural Sector is expected to have an increase in its export earnings this year following the 20 percent devaluation announcement in Fiji's dollar.
However, Agriculture Ministry Permanent Secretary Dr Richard Beyer said it is difficult at this stage to forecast the amount.
He also said they will continue assisting sugar cane farmers as he believes that the Sugar Industry is still vital for the country.
He had also encouraged people to plant more local crops.
