Wallabies great Andrew Slack believes Robbie Deans should be honest and explain that Quade Cooper's controversial omission from his Test squad is due to last year's “toxic” outburst.
Slack has warned Deans that he quickly needed to forgive and forget if he wanted to beat the British and Irish Lions and hold onto his job.
The reason for Cooper's omission from the Wallabies squad was not revealed.
Meanwhile Cooper will feature for the Reds this weekend against the Stormers at 3.05am Sunday.
