About seven Indian experts on Sandalwood are in the country working on trying to revive the sandalwood industry.
Secretary for the Fiji Sandalwood Limited, Ronita Prasad said sandalwood from Fiji is rated second in the world and they are trying to encourage landowners to focus on exporting.
She added that they are now working with landowners encouraging them to focus on re-planting.
Fiji Sandalwood Limited is in the process of setting up a factory in Suva to be able to export sandalwood and its products.
At the moment, there is a factory up and running in Veiseisei.
