An Independent team of experts have been appointed by the Health Ministry to conduct investigations into the death of five year Shavneet Kumar.
Village news has received confirmation that the panel will be headed by a Doctor from Sydney, who arrives later this week, and will consist another independent Doctor and a former Director of Nursing.
It has also been confirmed that all doctors and nurses who were involved in Shavneet's case have been directed to hand in individual reports on their account of the case.
We have also received confirmation that the Ministry of Health brought in a Pathologist from FSM to conduct the post mortem as a measure to ensure transparency in the procedures.
The post mortem was conducted at 9am this morning and a report is expected to be submitted to the Ministry by tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, Shavneet's aunt, Shobhna Sharma told Village News this afternoon that their doctor was also present during the post mortem.
