This is the sentiment of Peni Manulevu, who was overwhelmed at watching his 5 year old granddaughter Silika Manulevu who is a class one Dilkusha Girls Primary Class student, be part of the Tadra Kahani performance based on the theme "Empowering Girls through good quality education", where she took to stage dressed as a flower.
Looking on during her performance, the proud grandfather Peni Manulevu said he was proud to see his granddaughter perform in front of a large crowd, adding that Tadra Kahani does a lot for the development of young children.
Manulevu said the performances by all of the schools will have a long lasting effect on people as the themes are all relevant to what is happening in today's society.
Tadra Kahani 2009 came to an end last night with two new winners for both the Junior and Senior Division.
Pacific Harbour Multi-Cultural School took the Junior Division title back to Deuba, after their performance based on "Transition and Integration of Cultures in Fiji", held off challenges from seven Primary schools in the Junior Division.
The Senior Division title also found a new home after Lomary Secondary School whose performance was based on the theme "Appreciation and the Protection of the Rights of a Child", was given top honors last night, after successfully beating 10 secondary schools in the Senior Division.
Suva Grammar School were declared 1st runner up, while Monfort Boys Town took 2nd runner up place.
