Expect some block busting matches in this year’s Bayley’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s which kicks off in Sigatoka next weekend.
This comes after the pool draws for the three day tournament was released last night with reigning champion Yamacia to take on two-time champion Red Rock in pool play.
Joining Redrock and Yamacia in Pool A is Mana Graphix Uluinakau and Gecko’s Lomaiviti who are expected to feature Fiji-born New Zealand Sevens icons Tomasi Cama Jr and Lote Raikabula.
The Papua New Guinea men’s team will take on Outrigger, Wardens Gold and Great Eight runners-up Tabadamu in Pool F.
Pool E features Great Eight champion Tovolea along with Serevi Select who will be coached for the third year in a row by sevens legend Waisale Serevi, Western Suburbs and two-time finalists Police.
Visitors Lauli’i Lions, the champion of the Samoan Independence Sevens in May, is in Pool D with local teams Coastal Bulls, Fiji Chemicals Vuda and Tokatoka Westfield Dragons.
New Zealand is represented by Middlesex Club Sevens champions Rangataua in Pool C where they face Naviti, Wardens Green and the Davui Printery Suva Stallions.
The final group, Pool B, features Central Coast Sevens champion Daveta against Sigatoka River Safari, Go Advertising Waitabasaga and Tappoo Ratu Filise.
The Coral Coast 7s kicks next Thursday at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
