Plans to construct another garment factory by Mark One Apparel has been put on the back burner for the time being.
Managing director Mark Halabe said the period from June last year has been a trying time for the company and the industry, and it is time to accept that the global financial crisis will not permit any expansion at this stage.
Meanwhile, more people are now on reduced working hours while several others have been laid off and Halabe said further measures may have to be implemented if the situation does not improve.
