With only a day left for the biggest stage show in the country, excitement is building up amongst all the participating schools.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Total Event Manager Loretta Jackson said preparations are well underway for Tadra Kahani "The Dream Story Stage Show".

Jackson said a team has been visiting all the schools and the feedback has been that all the schools are ready for the show to begin this Wednesday.

"For the last four months we have had road shows and teams going out to the schools helping them with production, helping them with the technical side: costumes, choreography and there’s no doubt that the schools are definitely ready for Tadra Kahani. They’ve put a lot of time and a lot of effort into it. And the rehearsals have been going very well. So come Tuesday we start all our rehearsals at the Vodafone Arena on the actual main stage and Wednesday is the first show with the primary division."

Tadra Kahani begins this Wednesday with the Primary Division where 9 Primary Schools will battle it out for top honurs, then on Thursday with the Secondary Division with ten schools and then the finals of both divisions on Friday.

Tadra Kahani Builds Self Esteem Publish date/time: 10/08/2008 [16:17]
Tadra Kahani gives children a chance not only to develop their musical talents, but it builds their self-esteem.

These are the words of International School Suva teacher Jennifer Liew who has been involved in the event since it began in 1995.

Liew said she's seen so many children come out of their shell.

"Its great! The way I see it – it also gives every single kid in the school an opportunity for two or three minutes of fame. We have often seen students who are shy – have very low self esteem – get involved in Tadra Kahani (and) get up on that stage and perform and the whole process of learning and working with their peers (and) making costumes and art – that whole period of about two or three months. At the end of it, they’re a totally different person."

Tadra Kahani "The Dream Story Stage Show" will be on this Wednesday with the Primary Division and on Thursday with the Secondary Division and the Finals of both Divisions on Friday at the Vodafone Arena.

Tadra Kahani Allows For Development Of Artistic Skills Publish date/time: 09/08/2008 [10:15]
Pacific Islanders are usually known for their artistic flair, so an event like Tadra Kahani is good because it allows young children to develop their artistic talents.

Speaking to Fijivillage, rapper Mr Grin said taking part in Tadra Kahani "The Dream Story Stage Show" with Sammy G and Troop 10, is a welcome invitation because he supports the event as it encourages children to develop other skills that they may have.

"Tadra Kahani is a really good thing like us gang (sic) in expressive arts – not everybody’s a nerd, not everybody’s a sports person, not everybody’s …. You know … some people have their field in music and that sort of thing. Tadra Kahani really develops to follow this line and, I suppose, anybody else involved in music here would really feel strongly about Tadra Kahani and what it’s doing for the kids."

Mr Grin will perform with Sammy G and Troop 10 at Tadra Kahani next Wednesday.

Tadra Kahani begins next Wednesday with the Primary Division, then next Thursday with the Secondary Division and the Finals of both Divisions next Friday at the Vodafone Arena.

Tickets are now available at the home of Fijivillage.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Tui said he hopes their performance will motivate students to try out new things.
