From a time when job opportunities were scarce, to Fiji's post independence day, and the welcoming of the new millennium, the weeklong Suva Grammar School 50th Jubilee Celebrations is a chance to show current students how fortunate they are.
Patron of the Celebration Gerald Barrack who was a student during the 1940's when the school was known as Boys Grammar School, said students today have more opportunities than they could ever have dreamed of back when he was in school.
SGS 70's decade Representative Losana Ah-Yuk said for her decade they learned something that remains a big part of Suva Grammar School.
The week long Jubilee Celebration kicks off this Saturday with a march, and events held throughout next week till the 31st July.
