Principal Legal Officer for the Fiji Human Rights Commission, Wilfred Golman speaking on the International Day for Human Rights, said that in setting aside a day to remember the importance of Human Rights, the UN tries to remind everyone that no matter what culture, race or gender, everyone is equal before the Law.

Golman praised Fiji for setting up strong laws like the Human Rights Commission Decree 2009, that clearly states that discrimination will not be tolerated and this puts Fiji in a good stand towards achieving equality.
