Every child has the right to education.

These are the words of Fiji Parent Support Group National Secretary, Vishwa Nadan Mudliar who said that the blind and the visually impaired children are often looked down at.

Mudliar said their organisation who works for the betterment and rehabilitation of the blind and visually impaired children in Fiji has organised an open day next week to raise awareness on the importance of special education in the country.

He added there is also a need for people to change their mindset towards these children as some of their students have excelled in their fields.
