Vodafone Fiji Bati rep Kane Evans said playing at the Rugby League World cup helped him in building his NRL career for the Sydney Roosters.

Evans made a stunning debut last week against the Parramatta Eels and has been named again on the bench to face the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium tonight.

The 22-year-old whose mother is a Fijian is expected to use his hulking frame into good effect against the Broncos.

Evans will play alongside star players like Anthony Minichello, Roger Tuivasa Sheck, Michael Jennings, James Maloney and Daniel Tupou.

The Sydney Roosters will play the Brisbane Broncos at 9.40 tonight.
