Evan Hannah Still In Fiji
Fiji Times Editor, Netani Rika has confirmed that the Court Order to stop Hannah's deportation was served to immigration officials this morning.
Rika said that all he can say is that Hannah is still in the country and he is still detained at the Nadi International Airport.
It was confirmed that High Court Judge Justice Filimoni Jitoko expected Fiji Times Publisher Evan Hannah to be presented before him in the Suva High Court this afternoon by the authorities who removed him from his home last night.
Court officials have confirmed to FijiVillage that there is an order for Hannah to be presented in court at 3pm. They refused to comment further.
Justice Jitoko signed an order late last night stopping Hannah's deportation until an explanation is provided in court and the sealed order was handed over to Lawyer from Munro Leys.
Lawyers for Fiji Times are still negotiating with the immigration officials to ensure that Fiji Times Publisher, Evan Hannah is not deported to Australia.
