Two evacuation centers in Labasa are still open this morning and some people are taking shelter.

Labasa police confirm that 29 people are sheltering at Gurunanak School and about two families are taking shelter at the Labasa Civic Center. A family from Siberia Labasa is taking shelter at Gurunanak School after their house was damaged due to a landslide on Monday night.

This morning Urata and Boca bridges are still under flood waters and closed to all traffic.

The Nadi Weather Office has issued flash flood warnings for the low lying areas in Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby small islands as a low pressure system still lies over the Northern parts of the Fiji group. Duty forecasters say this weather situation will continue for another 24 to 48 hours.
