The National Disaster Management Office confirms that 21 evacuation centers holding about seven hundred people are still operating in the Central, Northern and Western Divisions.

DISMAC Director Joeli Rokovada said they will be monitoring the situation after which they will make a decision whether to keep these centers operational.

Rokovada said agriculture, houses and food stocks were badly affected, adding that more than 1500 people were forced to evacuate.

Relief supplies have been given to the Commissioner's office to be distributed by the District Officers.

Rokovada said at this stage they are not able to determine the total cost of damages done by cyclone as assessments are still underway.
