Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has stressed that he will not allow the ethno-nationalist agenda of the past governments to re-emerge in Fiji.

This is the message he gave to a former senior civil servant and diplomat of Fiji, Peter Thomson, when Thomson met with Bainimarama recently.

Peter Thomson, a former Permanent Secretary for Information and the Secretary to the Governor General Ratu Penaia Ganilau in 1987, has told Radio Australia that he failed to persuade Bainimarama to have a dialogue process as he said the Prime Minister wants ethno-nationalism to be eradicated.
